Hole 1 is one of the most challenging starting par fours in the state. Right off you are faced with a big choice of trying to hit a long drive over the pond that lies waiting to except a miss hit drive or, you might choose to lay up with a 175 yard mid-iron.

Advise from the members: Play smart use the mid-iron, this leaves you with a short iron into the green.
